What are credits?
Credits are how we measure usage. Each request costs credits based on how much the model reads and writes, and which model you choose — more capable models cost more credits per request.
How is usage calculated?
We count the input and output tokens the Gemini API reports for each request, then convert them to credits using that model's rate. Cheaper models use very few credits; premium models use more, reflecting their real cost.
How do billing and subscriptions work?
Plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Each plan includes a fixed credit allowance that resets automatically on renewal. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel anytime from the customer portal, and a grace period protects you from failed payments.
What happens when I run out of credits?
New requests pause until your monthly allowance resets, or you can buy a one-time credit pack to keep going right away. In-progress responses always finish.
